2025년 8월, Juniper Christian School(JCS)에 큰 기쁨의 소식이 있었습니다.
미국 캘리포니아에 위치한 Biola University와 JCS가 공식적으로 MOU(업무 협약)를 체결하며, 글로벌 기독교 교육의 새로운 장을 열게 된 것입니다.
이번 협약식에는 Biola University의 Dr. Matthew Hall (Senior Vice President, Provost), Mrs. Fitsum Mulat (Vice President of Enrollment Management), Mr. Dong Chen (Director of International Admissions)과 국제입학부 스태프들, 그리고 JCS 자랑스러운 졸업생 Ms. Prisca You가 진행을 맡아 의미있는 시간을 가졌습니다.

이번 MOU는 우연히 이루어진 자리가 아니었습니다.
지난 3월, Biola University 총장 Dr. Barry Corey가 직접 JCS를 방문하여 학생들과 간담회를 가진 바 있으며, 그 만남에서 JCS의 교육철학과 학생들의 신앙·학문적 열정을 확인했습니다. 이번 협약은 그 연장선에서 Biola의 요청으로 성사되었으며, 두 기관이 추구하는 철저한 기독교 교육적 가치가 맞닿아 있음을 보여주고 있습니다.
본교의 이민호(Dr. Tony Lee)교장 선생님 역시, 캘리포니아 Azusa Pacific University(APU)의 국제학부 입학사정관으로 오랜시간 재직했던터라 Biola측의 따듯한 환대에 감사를 표하며, MOU 협약식 이후 깊은 감동을 나누었습니다.
“Biola University는 단순한 글로벌 대학이 아니라, 참된 글로벌 기독교 교육을 실현하는 배움의 터전입니다. 앞으로 JCS 학생들이 Biola에서 학문과 신앙을 겸비한 글로벌 리더로 성장하길 기대하며, 국내에서도 Biola를 널리 알리고 학생들의 진학 준비를 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다.”

이제, JCS와 Biola는 ‘Christ-Centered Education’이라는 공동의 가치관을 중심으로 더욱 긴밀한 협력의 미래를 확신하고 있습니다. 이번 협약은 단순한 대학 진학 보장을 넘어, 확장된 장학 제도와 다양한 교류 프로그램을 통해 신앙과 학문을 겸비한 탁월한 글로벌 기독교 리더를 세워가는 소중한 출발점이 될 것입니다. 무엇보다 이번 MOU를 통해 JCS 학생들은 Biola University라는 더 큰 무대에서 깊은 신앙과 탁월한 지성을 겸비하며, 세상 속에서 진정한 Giver의 사명을 감당하게 될 것입니다.

Juniper Christian School & Biola University Sign MOU
In August 2025, Juniper Christian School (JCS) received wonderful news.
JCS officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Biola University, located in California, opening a new chapter in global Christian education.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Matthew Hall (Senior Vice President, Provost), Mrs. Fitsum Mulat (Vice President of Enrollment Management), Mr. Dong Chen (Director of International Admissions) and the international admissions staff from Biola University. The event was made even more meaningful as it was hosted by Ms. Prisca You, a proud graduate of JCS.
Biola University – Ranked #1 Among Christian Universities: Expanding the Future of JCS!
This partnership did not happen by chance. Earlier in March, Biola University President Dr. Barry Corey personally visited JCS, where he held a forum with students. During that meeting, he witnessed firsthand the educational philosophy of JCS and the passion of its students in both faith and academics. The signing of this MOU came at Biola’s request, reaffirming the shared commitment of both institutions to Christ-centered education.
JCS Principal Dr. Tony Lee, who previously served for many years as an international admissions officer at Azusa Pacific University (APU), expressed deep gratitude for Biola’s warm welcome and shared how moved he was by the ceremony:
“Biola University is more than a global institution; it is a true center of Christian learning. I look forward to seeing JCS students grow as global leaders—grounded in both scholarship and faith—at Biola. We are also committed to promoting Biola here in Korea and preparing our students for this remarkable opportunity.”

JCS and Biola now move forward with confidence in their shared value of Christ-Centered Education. This MOU is more than a pathway for university admission; it marks the beginning of expanded scholarships, diverse exchange programs, and new opportunities to raise up exceptional global Christian leaders who embody both faith and intellect.
Most importantly, through this partnership, JCS students will step onto the greater stage of Biola University—equipped with deep faith and academic excellence—to live out the true calling of being givers in the world.
