MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of JCS is to promote a Christ-centered education, educational excellence, and global perspectives through dynamic learning activities.

Motto: LUX ET VERITAS

“Light and Truth” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Proverbs 9:10).

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live (Psalms 43:3).

JCS is an innovative, urban Christian institution dedicated to create and cultivate global leaders. Our unique curriculum is modeled on the new Common Core Standards widely used the U.S. Our educational environment has been designed to enhance student participation and creative learning and to enable a close teacher-student relationship and personalized education through small-group instruction.

Our Story

On February 16, 2015, JCS opened its doors. It was a first valiant step towards making a Christian education more accessible to the public. We became one of the K-12 education systems in South Korea to have adopted and implemented the Common Core State Standards and have been providing programs in the multiple areas of academics, spirituality, music, arts and physical education. Since 2016, we have been offering English musical programs consisting of musical theater performances licensed by Disney and the Broadway. Participating students maximize their artistic talents and develop essential social skills through teamwork and musical shows. Over the years, JCS has experienced consistent growth through constant curriculum innovation and implementation.

In the spirit of rest, peace, and commission as noted in Book of 1 Kings Chapter 19, we at JCS render our Christian service to students, parents, and the staff and will continue our commitment to making a Christian education more accessible to the public and serving our local communities. This is how we will create and train global-minded Christian servant leaders.

Diversity

JCS promotes ‘Diversity’ in which students discover their unique identity shaped by their ethnic, cultural, and linguistic upbringing and are encouraged to mature as emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually responsible leaders to inspire a responsive chord with other members of their groups and contribute to their communities. Furthermore, our vision of ‘Diversity’ seeks to eliminate discrimination based on class, ethnicity, race, gender, age, and disability, acknowledge everyone’s positive and unique attributes, and instill in students spiritual discernment to correctly judge what is right and wrong in Biblical perspectives.

We believe our Christian diversity education will enable students to develop multiple perspectives, mature in Christ, and become leaders dedicated to Christ and their neighbor.
